A 20“ wheel alloy folder that weighs around 12KG. The bike uses a patented folding system from the respected manufacturer Dahon. Frame and handlebars fold and the seatpost and handlebars are quick release for further size reduction.
Shimano 6 speed gears give a reasonable range of ratios and make this a very versatile folding bike that fits perfectly into its own carrying bag.

Recommended for the leisure cyclist, this is a very good entry level (in Dahon factory terms) folding bike. Value for money it rates very high, though for those of you who are good cyclists and prefer a low pedal cadence you may prefer to spend a little more to gain a higher gear and stiffer handlebar system as on the Dawes Kingpin, Raleigh Boardwalk Lite, Dahon Vitesse D7 etc.
(for the more technically minded both the Landrover City Lite and the Dawes Jack have a six speed screw-on rear freewheel of 14 - 28 T, whereas the Dawes Kingpin, Dahon Vitesse D7 and Raleigh Boardwalk Lite have a Cassette type rear hub and fit as standard a 11 - 30 T cassette. This gives a very good range of gears and notably improves the high gear to above novice level, that said - for most casual weekend cyclists the six speed system is perfectly adequate and acceptable )

All Folding Bikes are thoroughly prepared and checked in the workshop in order to validate the warranties, this involves a thorough setup and adjustment of spokes, bearings, brakes, gears (stops and cable adjustment). The chainset and crank, handlebars and all nuts and bolts are checked for tightness and the pedals fitted. Finally the tyre pressures are set and the folding joints and all quick releases are lubricated and adjusted. After a brief test ride (mainly indoor) they are then carefully packed back into the original boxes using appropriate packaging, this means that the bikes when received and unfolded are ‘ready to ride’ . All 26” wheel Dahon bikes arrive in the UK in boxes with the frame unfolded but the bike partially dismantled. We have taken the decision that in order to properly achieve our highest aim and that of the responsible manufacturers with whom we liase, that we therefore, properly prepare then fold the completed bike with only the handlebar removed, it is therefore necessary for us to repackage the bike accordingly on account of it’s larger size when assembled.
